1. Слово Саентология (Scientology), можно сказать, адаптировано к английскому языку. Оно происходит от Латинского Scio и греческого Logos, причем Scio является наиболее выразительным обозначением понятия «знание» в западном мире. Scio — это «знание в самом полном смысле этого слова», и западный мир распознает в нем, как и в слове «наука» (science), нечто близкое к истине.
2. Религия в самом древнем смысле этого слова – это изучение мудрости. Снт – это изучение человека как духа, в его взаимоотношении с жизнью и физической вселенной. Она не принадлежит к какому-либо вероисповеданию. Под этим подразумевается, что Снт открыта для людей всех религий и верований, и ни в коем случае не пытается отговорить человека от его религии, но помогает ему лучше понять, что он – духовное существо.
3. Религиозная практика, применяемая к духу человека и его духовной свободе.
4. Способность изменять состояния. Это технология, как изменяться.
5. Саентологии – это духовное и религиозное руководство, предназначенное для того, чтобы сделать людей больше осознающими себя как духовных существ, восстанавливая уважение к самому себе и другим, и не занимаясь лечением и не диагностируя человеческие заболевания тела или ума, и не занимаясь ни обучением, ни практикой медицинских навыков или наук.
